Max Bore Size Update

Posted by on

In recent days we have discovered an issue with the max bore size for the Mini Swift and KA100 engines. In both cases, when using the largest size piston available, if the clearance is excessive (a well-worn engine), there is a chance the stated maximum bore size could be exceeded.

Until further notice (the 2024 fiche factory document) the following maximum bore sizes will be in effect.

  • Mini Swift - 42.21mm (1.662")
  • KA100 - 48.69mm (1.917")

Swift Airbox Tubes

Recently we have discovered that there have been a very small number of airbox tubes for the Mini Swift that were produced outside the specifications defined on the factory fiche document. The overall length is too short. Some of these have made their way into the U.S. market and have been discovered in several areas (race [...]

Notice: X30 Gearbox Venting

The vent fitting onto the X30 crankcase is provided because the gears compartment (like all the gears compartments) need to be vented. The air contained into the gears compartment is heated by the aluminum walls, by the oil and by the gears themselves, as all these parts are heated up during engine operation. As a result, [...]
